April is coming to an end, therefore, our food can donations were ready to go to an organization that helps feed our community.
This month, we donated the collected food to Morningside Church of Christ. This church located in central Auckland welcomes anyone to come visit and attend their service and has a cabinet set up in the main hallway that stores food for anyone in need.
This cabinet is stocked with food such as rice, beans, flour, tuna and other goods through out the year.
Donations to their food cabinet can be made at any time and people in need can take what they need.
This month, our donation to the church included noodles, rice, pasta packs, cans of chick peas, spaghetti and beans.
When we arrived, John, the preacher, greeted us with a smile and invited us in. He showed us their food cabinet and he was very grateful when the donations were handed to the church.
The food then went straight into the church food cabinet, ready for anyone in need.
Our donation was successful and now our basket is ready to be filled for next month through our customers and staff.
How to donate through us
If you have booked a job with us and would like to donate any food cans to our monthly food donation drive, let our driver know when they arrive onsite.
They will take the food cans and bring it back to our warehouse where the food is stored until the basket is full and the monthly drop off takes place.
Every month we drop the food off to local organizations that supply food to our community through food banks.
